The Nekromantix is a Danish-American psychobilly band founded in 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their lyrics are generally structured around monster and horror themes. A central icon of the band's image is founder and frontman Kim Nekroman's "coffinbass", a custom-built double bass with a body in the shape of a coffin and a headstock the shape of a cross. Nekroman has been the sole constant member of the band. The current lineup consists of guitarist Francisco Mesa and drummer Rene "Delamuerte" Garcia, known as a guitarist and singer of the Canadian band "The Brains".
Never self-serious while far from a joke at the same time, Nekromantix is a musical unearthing of the biggest themes from the greatest works of monster, zombie, vampire, werewolf and b-horror fiction; ripped from literature, comic book pages or classic celluloid. Nekromantix chases a darkly romantic muse with an even darker humor.
The Nekromantix catalog boasts enduring genre classics like the unapologetically hooky yet undeniably fierce “Who Killed the Cheerleader?” and “Gargoyles Over Copenhagen” alongside subversively sentimental cuts like “Haunted Cathouse” and “Subcultural Girl.” There are echoes of rock n’ roll’s greats and punk rock icons alike, all with modern flair.
Long nights soaked in whiskey, the powerful emotions of self-love and self-hate, the raw energy of the plasma laced guitar and vocals: These are a few maxims of the Delta Bombers. Formed in 2008 by four teenagers looking for a good time and a release of their rockabilly sensibilities the Bombers' have grown end over end since then in more ways than one. Their humble beginnings have now grown the Las Vegas outfit into world leading roots Rock n' Rollers clandestine and ready for any stage at any time. Not shy of a live show their performances, now legendary the world over, as is their prolific singer song-writer front man Chris Moinichen. The strike team behind his howling vocals is Andrew Himmler on Guitar, Gregorio Garcia on Stand-Up Bass & PJ Franco on drums. The Delta Bombers exist only to continue what they started: A worldwide Rock and Roll revolution.
Thrash-and-twang duo VOLK set expectations on fire with their explosive brand of cowpunk and glam rock. Small in size yet big in sound, VOLK is Chris Lowe (electric guitar, vocals) and Eleot Reich (drums, lead vocals). Together they kick out the jams with a high-octane show combining politics, poetry, and pageantry. Their debut album, Cashville, is their first full-length release and the first to capture the full range of their cinematic style.
