GINGER MOLASSES

Ginger Molasses is a five-piece rock band formed in 2023 in the Sierra Nevada Foothills town of Nevada City, California. They draw on elements of soul, funk, and southern rock to craft their unique sound. At the helm is front-woman Tawnee Kendall, whose Nashville-tinged vocals and energetic performances supercharge the band’s live shows. Ginger Molasses’ songwriting celebrates overlooked American subcultures. Fans are transported to other worlds, such as a real-life Houston theme park devoted to the orange, steroid use in pro baseball, and renegade speed boaters on the Sacramento Delta.
