Hippie Death Cult, Earth Tongue & Vacancy Floor

Over the past several years, Hippie Death Cult has emerged as a powerful and dynamic force in the psychedelic and riff-driven rock scene. The band, now a compelling power trio, features guitarist and founder Eddie Brnabic, vocalist/bassist Laura Phillips, and drummer Harry Silvers. Their artistic journey embodies resilience and growth, reflected in their progression and acclaimed releases.

Since signing with Cursed Tongue Records in 2019, Hippie Death Cult's debut album, 111, laid a strong foundation in heavy music, earning critical acclaim and propelling the band into the spotlight. In 2021, they joined Heavy Psych Sounds Records to release Circle of Days and the Doom Sessions Vol. 5 split album. Both "111" and "Circle" topped the Doom Charts and garnered numerous "Album of the Year" accolades.

In October 2023, the band unveiled their latest studio album, Helichrysum, which was met with widespread acclaim. This album captures the essence of their musical journey, showcasing intricate compositions and thoughtful lyricism. Helichrysum has become their best-selling and most-streamed album to date, further enhanced by performances across North America and Europe, totaling over 200 shows and solidifying their identity as a formidable act.

In 2024, Hippie Death Cult celebrated their electrifying live presence with the release of Live at the Star Theater, recorded in their hometown of Portland, Oregon, and released in May 2025 through Heavy Psych Sounds. This album encapsulates the raw energy and unique vibrancy of their performances, illustrating why their live shows have cultivated a dedicated international fanbase. Their extensive tours included appearances at major festivals such as Desertfest London, New York, Berlin, Antwerp, Oslo, Psycho Las Vegas, and Heavy Psych Sounds Fests in California and Italy, broadening their reach and reputation.

Currently, the band remains committed to their craft, focusing on new music and laying the groundwork for an ambitious touring schedule in 2026 and beyond.
